1. Who we are
Rydr& is a product of Xoomtech (“we”, “us”). Rydr& is software that delivery and rider companies in the UAE use to manage their people, fleet and payroll. This policy explains what personal data we handle, why, and the choices you have.
For any privacy question or request, email contact@rydrand.com.
2. Who this covers, and our role
This policy applies to:
- visitors to this website;
- people who contact us or ask for a walkthrough;
- people who use the Rydr& web app or mobile apps, including administrators, supervisors and riders.
If you use Rydr& through your employer, your employer is our customer. Your employer decides what information about you is recorded in Rydr& and why; under UAE data protection law they are the controller of that data. We process it on their behalf and on their instructions, as their processor. Your employer’s own privacy notice also applies to you, and requests about your employment records are usually best sent to them first. If you contact us instead, we will help, and we will involve your employer where we need to.
For website visitors and people who contact us about Rydr&, we decide how that data is used, so we are the controller.
3. What we collect
On this website
- What you send us. The walkthrough form does not send anything to our servers. It opens your own email app with your name, company, email, optional phone number, preferred time and message filled in. We receive that information only if you send the email.
- Technical data. Like any website, the servers that host it may log your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure.
- No cookies or trackers. This website does not set cookies, does not store anything in your browser, and does not use advertising or analytics trackers.
In the Rydr& apps
- Account details: name, work email or phone number, role and permissions, and a record of sign-ins.
- Employment records your employer adds: employee code, client and station assignments, visa and emirate details, identity documents (such as Emirates ID, passport, visa and driving licence, with their numbers, expiry dates and copies), attendance and shifts, payroll, deductions, fines, advances, leave, transfers, assets you hold and exit clearance.
- Location (riders): precise location only while you are checked in to a shift. This is used to confirm you checked in inside your station’s area and to show your position to your supervisors while you work. Because shifts continue when the app is in the background, the app asks for “Always” location access; collection stops when you check out. You can also choose to share your location in a chat message.
- Camera and photos: only when you choose to photograph or upload a document, or attach a file. Text on an uploaded document may be read automatically to suggest updates, which a person on your employer’s team must confirm before anything changes.
- Messages and alerts: chats with your supervisor, tickets and SOS alerts.
- Device data: device type, operating system, app version, a notification token so we can send you alerts, and error reports that help us fix problems.
4. How we use it
- to provide Rydr& to your employer and to you, including check-in, attendance, payroll, fleet and compliance features;
- to verify shift check-ins and show live shift status to the people responsible for your safety and work;
- to send notifications you need, such as approvals, reminders and SOS alerts;
- to keep accounts and data secure, and to investigate misuse;
- to answer questions and walkthrough requests;
- to fix problems and make the service more reliable;
- to meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
6. Where data is processed
Some of our service providers may process data outside the UAE. When that happens, we use the safeguards that UAE data protection law requires for transfers.
7. How long we keep it
We keep data in Rydr& for as long as your employer uses the service and needs it, and for as long as the law requires certain records, such as payroll and employment records, to be kept. When a customer stops using Rydr&, we delete or return their data as agreed in their contract. Emails sent to us about the website are kept only as long as needed to deal with your request.
8. How we protect it
Access in Rydr& is based on roles and permissions. Sensitive changes go through a second person for approval, and every edit and approval is recorded in a change history that administrators cannot erase. We limit our own staff’s access to what they need to support customers.
No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will act quickly if something goes wrong.
9. Your rights and choices
Subject to UAE law, you can ask to:
- see the personal data held about you;
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete data, or limit how it is used;
- object to certain uses;
- receive a copy of data you provided.
Location: you can turn off location access in your phone’s settings at any time. Shift check-in cannot be verified without it, so your employer may need another way to record your attendance.
If you use Rydr& through your employer, we may pass your request to them, because they decide what is recorded. Some records may have to be kept where the law requires. You can also complain to the UAE Data Office if you are unhappy with how your data is handled.
10. Deleting your account
You can’t delete a Rydr& account from inside the app. Instead, send a request using the form on our account deletion page. Then:
- a Rydr& administrator reviews your request;
- we contact you by email and phone to confirm that the request came from you and that you want to go ahead;
- only once you confirm, the administrator deletes your account, and we email you when it’s done.
If you don’t confirm, nothing is deleted. Records your employer must keep by law, such as payroll history, may be kept after your account is deleted.
11. Children
Rydr& is a workplace tool for adults. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will also tell customers directly.
